In this game you manage a submarine ecosystem populated by strange little creatures, named Luciombres.
Mate your creatures with your friend's ones, and make their genes evolve to help them survive the Abyss !

First environment study. The orb in the center comes out of a meteor which brought the first Luciombre into the ocean (we didn't stick to this scenario later).

After technical researchs on how we were gonna work with the web browser constraints, I worked on the creatures aspect (knowing what was possible to do).
This one is the Carnivorous type, so he is kinda threatening.

The Herbivorous ones are friendly, elegant and swim in groups.

Luciombres : Ovivorous
Unlike their fellas Carnivorous and Herbivorous, the Ovivorous walk on the ground, and are more of the insectoid type.

Artwork : Orb
The Orb is the central item of every maps, the camera being focused on it. It's the life force of the Luciombres, where they are originated from.
For both the Orb and the Luciombres, I worked on a shader allowing us to easyly create and distinguish the creatures from the darkness of the abyss.

Every Luciombre, after mating, lay eggs from which new Luciombres comes out. This new-borns are given a mix-up of their parents genes.

Recent Artwork picturing the next environment. I applied a strong contrast on the lights and shadows, to create strange forms and paterns. The 3D version of this environment is in production.

Ingame : Empty environment
First 3D environment of the game. The artistic direction have been precised since I made this map, but the intentions are here : mysterious, yet peacefull abyss.

And here's the Luciombres ! As you can see they are quite distinguishable from the environment, and their diet are visually quite different.
Dispite of this differences, the Luciombres shader create a unifying style. When you see a Luciombre, you know it's not just a fish.

The morphology itself define a Luciombre diet. The Carnivorous are big, ominous beings ; the Herbivorous are more snake-like, but without the venom ; the Ovivorous have shells, and multiple insect-like legs.
